Soft evening winter light illuminates a very stiff wind that is whipping up the sand and drives it back inland to form the dunes. Marram grass has taken hold and forms the first stage vegetation to strengthen the dune. Coastal Sand dunes in the UK are a special ad protected habitat. Home to some protected Reptiles and Amphibians that rely on them.
