European Shag (Phalacrocorax aristotelis) with two chicks, during the midday sun. Looking to see if they have a meal this time around. A particularly hot day with little wind. The two chicks are very hot, and seek shelter from the heat under the parents. However they will sit in the hot sun for periods of time whlie the parents swap duties, which can take a quite a few minuites.
