White-throated Dipper (Cinclus cinclus) sitting next to plastic pollution, Brock Valley White-throated Dipper (Cinclus cinclus) next to plastic sheeting, caught on rock, brought down by floodwaters from heavy rains upstream, possibly the building site quarter mile further upstream. Dippers have a remarkable way to catch food in a niche area. They are able to dive under water readily at will and walk along the bottom in search of caddis fly larva and other food.
